So the basement renovations are almost done and Valerie and I will soon be 'moving in' (although we're already there) and treating it as our verruh own pad. As such, we come to need various devices one normally takes for granted.. so we're gonna off and buy some stuff.. but before we do that, I thought we might as well just put the word out to see if anyone has stuff that's usable but lying around not getting any. We are on the lookout for include things such as -microwave -toaster oven -pans or pots -general cookware -baking shiz -tv stand -broom No need to look hard, just let us know if you have something that may be appropriate. It will all make the kick off party (details pending) that much homier. Current Mood: doin' itCurrent Music: TV on the motherfucking Radio | | Friday, September 7th, 2007 | | 1:32 pm |
The hey who in the what for where why do.
YO. Hey. I don't really have my own site anymore, so I guess I can stoop to using lj. Beautiful beautiful lj. ooooh my back. Anyway. I'm living in London again on a permanent basis. Theoretically that means I'm looking for a job.. we'll see how that goes. There's a few points I thought I'd let you in on. geekstuff and theatrestuff
2 orders of business today (meant to post this a couple days or a week ago, but ah ya know) the first is Nailing the Hammer! yos. As people on facebook and certain others already know, the play i co-created with 2 friends is in the Hamilton Fringe Festival.. it opened last weekend, and there's 3 more shows.. on friday evening, saturday early evening and sunday afternoon. (details at www.productivesmog.com or www.hamiltonfringe.ca) it's almost like it was made for people coming from out of town to check it out :O. Anyway I'd really love it all of you could come out and see it, especially if you missed it the first time around. It's been a lot of work getting this thing going, and I think it's even rather good. Which is to say I'm generally very pleased with how it's turned out. Also the mayor of Hamilton said he thought it should be required viewing! so.. well.. yeah I know he's probably a bit biased, but still. Anyway, I think my parents may be going up on Sunday and they probably have some free room in the car, but I don't know how much.. but probably at least 2 seats. I know Adam K was thinking of going up on Saturday, but I'm not sure if that's going on or not. Phil has also said he might try to go on Friday.. but that was rather indefinite. So yeah. If someone is for sure coming on Friday that would be awesome, cause then we might be able to keep brian for one extra show.. as he's running sound effects and the guy who was going to replace him is not gonna be there then.. heh. the second order of business is geek related. I'm gonna be pre-ordering GURPS: Martial Arts from sjgames' online store called warehouse23. I'm so stoked for this book I must preorder it from them as they will ship it first, y'know. Now shipping from them is rather expensive.. so I thought, maybe some of you in the hinterlands or the nearlands of my lj friendslist would like something from w23.. now they don't just sell gurps stuff.. they have most popular systems (dnd, white wolf, though you might wanna hold off buying dnd stuff till 4e is available next year) as well as accessories like dice and plush toys and some pretty cool tshirts ( http://warehouse23.com/info/tshirts.html#aaron) as well as like cardgames (munchkin) and board games and all sorts of crazy shit. so if there's anything there you're interested in, lemme know, and you can get it for the price there and no shipping charge. :) | | Saturday, June 2nd, 2007 | | 2:01 pm |

play and stuff
my parents will have 5 free spaces in their van on friday, so if anyone wants a ride with them and can get down to our end of the city.. they plan to leave at 5:30. if you can make it or whatnot you can call my house at 649-0309.. or try and email me or something and i can let them know on your behalf, but i'm not sure if i'll be able to get to a computer to check mail easily tomorrow. | | Wednesday, February 14th, 2007 | | 12:37 am |
in the white room
I don't post much here.. not finding things to say etc. whatever.. but I thought my upcoming play/thesis project might be worth mentioning.. so i posted a thing about it on my website. Check it, son. | | Wednesday, May 17th, 2006 | | 9:06 pm |
happenings and wendings
not much to say, really.. just 2 short points of interest I and Kevin and Mike, and anyone else who would like, are going to see the film 'Brick' tomorrow night at 7 at Hyland cinema. it looks really cool (brickmovie.net has a nice trailer) so anyone who is interested in capital l fiLm, consider yourself invited. I've been pretty psyched about this movie for a while. Premise in brief - classic film noir in a high school.. I know at least Caleb was quite interested. Also.. Zees weekend. There is a shindig in effect on Saturday in Waterloo to celebrate Colin's 22nd birthday, and I guess mine too, since it's as close to saturday as his is. As a birthday present from me to you (i swear it's not supposed to work like that) I'm going to be providing shiny white vanny transportation. Air conditioned, comfortable seating, and guaranteed good music is offered. So if you would like a spot in the harpmobile (as currently undecorated as it may be), speak up. I will be leaving probably around 1:30-2:00 and heading back that night. The intention is that it's going to be more of a bbq deal than a boozing thang. That is all. | | Monday, April 10th, 2006 | | 3:24 am |
baies sauvages!!! (shock, shock, horror)
Well I'm back in London on a semi permanent basis now (till septemberembero). Still have 2 more exams, but that's not for 2 weeks and i'll only be gone for 3 or 4 days or something. Northenders: upbraid me with your schedules. and erm. yeah. hi. now i need a job. anyone can help in that dept will be honoured with 100 days of gladiatorial games. which reminds me.. we have a real home theatre system in the basement now.. projector and a screen that takes up most of the wall, 800 dollar speakers and 5.1 surround and whatnot. at least until kevin moves out anyway... just gotta keep him buying sweet stuff so he can never afford to. but yeah. pretty awesome cuz like better picture quality than rainbow and probably relatively just as big (depending on how close you sit =p)

I'll look at my current winamp playlist (loaded to the max just for this occasion! .. cept i decided to edit the sound effects out.. cause.. that's just silly) and share with you the corresponding songs. Who knows what ye shall find?? (le gaspe) I won't actually do this probly till laterish tomorrow at the earliest cause of essays and stuff. shine a light
Livewhatal? I don't have anything to say really, except there is no cheese in the house and that is grave. Also, all you London people.. if you like music, go to Call The Office on Friday the 10th to see The Constantines. These guysss are awesome. I have seen them 4 times now (#5 will be the 17th in the Hammer). If you like Rock music. that is music that just unapolagetically goes for the jugular in a rocking fashion, is dark and dirty, intense, wild and on fire.. this is the sweet stuff. About 5 years ago they played with Sanseiru (and i didn't see it. augh!) Now they are one of indie rock's brightest stars, and they originally from Guelph, yo. It's 10 bucks (9 in advance) and all i'm saying is it will be a good show. For proof of my insanity, you can also look at my top 111 albums of 2005 on my site, if you are at all interested | | Saturday, December 10th, 2005 | | 7:07 pm |
Northenden!
Alright, this is for those of you who frequent my roleplaying campaign... everyone else can just ignore it if they so choose. I'm going to be back in London on the 13th. After that, and before I have to go back to Steeltown on the 2nd or so of January, I would love to get in some sessions.. so this is where you let me know when you will be able to play etc. Hopefully in the holidays it will be not too hard to plan out... but then we always play on holidays anyway. So, yeah. I know all of you have ljs except for phil, so let me know here and let's arrange something. Bus! ?
finally i have something to report here. and yes it has to do with my other website.. but uh. check out my solo performance from acting in written form over yonder. There's also new radioness, but on a tuesday, or wednesday (i meant to post this last night but forgot to hit the button) that really goes without saying. I just had about 11 hours of sleep. Delicious. Current Mood: contentCurrent Music: Neneh Cherry - Move With Me (Dub) | | Tuesday, November 22nd, 2005 | | 4:56 am |
new radioness aboundsenjoy it while it lasts. cause it will last for a long time. if i take time to think about the amount of school stuff I have to do (test and essay on thursday, test on monday, essay, paper and other essays the next week), and the amount of time i have to do it given that my evening tomorrow is taken up with auditions, and wednesday through saturday by henry... i would realize that there is probably less time than is required for completion of said things. luckily i don't think about things like that. i just go to sleep. sleeeep. who else is really looking forward to the end of the term? (the correct answer is everyone) Current Mood: tiredCurrent Music: the national - secret meeting | | Tuesday, November 15th, 2005 | | 5:09 am |
i would like to draw your attention to the following... Theatre stuffola Radioness. I hope you're happy. Cause I'm pretty fricking happy. On the life front.. I've been mad busy with stuff so I haven't had time to do anything useful. I did write a retardedly bad essay, though. I will almost have time to breathe this week, which is nice. I need to watch two new episodes of Rome. I need to go shopping for food, but I won't have a chance until Wednesday. I have a beard now for no other reason than that I'm lazy. I got a 3300 dollar cheque from the university. I'm dead dead dead tired. My room's so messy I can't easily walk in it. I haven't showered in several days and I'm wearing exactly what I wore yesterday, including underwear. Yeah, gross. I ate supper tonight at 2am. Can't really complain, though. Things are going pretty good. Current Mood: tiredCurrent Music: Tangiers - Crack Valley | | Friday, November 11th, 2005 | | 12:37 am |
i hate memes more than i hate banana bread If you read this, if your eyes are passing over this right now, even if we don't speak often, please post a comment with a memory of you and me. It can be anything you want, either good or bad, or possibly illegal.
When you're finished, post these little paragraphs on your journal to see what people remember about you.I usually avoid memes like the plague but this time I couldn't help it. memories are fun. | | Wednesday, November 9th, 2005 | | 3:58 pm |
A Public Poll
Do you think I should cross-post the posts on my website to my livejournal? Pros: People will actually read them. Or at least, be more likely to. Cons: You won't go to my site anymore. I like my site. Also, it will get fewer hits. My site looks way better than lj because i don't have time to learn how themes work. The stuff on my site isn't usually conventional lj-type fare so it would confuse people. It's a little bit more work for me. Discuss! Oh, also. On my site I can do whatever I want. For instance, I could have a poll without having to pay some asshole in a tweed suit. yay! whee! kerplunk!
hear ye, see ye, touch ye, feel ye I have this feeling that I'm likely to be in London for the weekend. I feel that this should and will amount to a perfect opportunity for a veritable hullabaloo. I'm thinking and feeling and seeing that the hullabaloo will likely loo bas and hullas on friday evening (that's tomorrow "Frank", now learn how to read a calendar before I break your goddamn jaw). So clear your calendars and await further instruction. Current Mood: procrastinatory to bitter endCurrent Music: Metric - Police and the Private | | Saturday, September 10th, 2005 | | 3:37 pm |

I don't intend to use this account at all other than to comment on other people's ljs, so you probably won't want to check here every day. Maybe every other day. But it will still always be the same and you will be disappointed. Maybe apathetic.
